The Challenge

Used book buyers and sellers had no dedicated mobile marketplace built for books. Amazon's trade-in programs paid pennies on the dollar. Local options were limited and inconvenient. Book lovers needed a community-first platform that understood the unique nature of the used book market — where condition details, genre discovery, reader trust, and community mattered as much as price.

What Was Built

Founded PangoBooks and built the full marketplace from the ground up — mobile app, backend infrastructure, seller tools, payments, and buyer experience. The React Native app lets sellers photograph and list books in seconds, set their own prices, and build a seller reputation over time. Buyers get a curated discovery experience, verified condition details, and a community of fellow readers. Raised venture funding, grew the platform to a thriving marketplace, and built a brand readers genuinely love.
